We're looking for an independent, skilled laborer to work onsite at the Stagner Landscape yard in Alto, NM (just north of Ruidoso). The right candidate will be on time, hard working, trustworthy, and efficient. This position works directly with customers who come in to buy firewood. We need someone who believes in getting quality work done, who is capable of following direction, and who has consistent attendance.
This position is Monday - Friday, 7:15 - 4:00 pm (full time) and includes:
· Firewood sales: sorting wood as it comes in from jobs, utilizing splitters, ensuring racks are filled and neat, selling firewood, and delivering firewood as needed
· Running errands as needed (with company vehicle; current license with no tickets is required)
· Maintaining the property as needed
· Work on a field crew as needed (see below)
At Stagner Landscape we provide a variety of services to our customers. As a Stagner employee, you may also be required to do different tasks such as (but not limited to):
· May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
· Tree removal
· Landscaping including: rock work, rail road tie installation, artificial turf, bush and tree planting, block retaining walls, flagstone work
· Clean up of properties including: weed eating, pine needle removal, pulling weeds, bush trimming, cleaning gutters and roofs
· Gravel drive installation: shoveling rock, using a wheelbarrow, and spreading
· Firewood preparation: splitting, stacking, and delivering
· Year-round maintenance which includes clean up, trimming, and hauling of debris (we have over 100 year round accounts)
· You may be required to run heavy equipment including but not limited to: skid steers (including using forklifts, brush grabbers, and auger attachments), log splitters, 9” tree and bush chipper, riding mowers, dump trailers, dump truck, riding compactor/rikkers, power tampers, and mini excavator
**You will be trained on all of this equipment. Some of these require a driver’s license in good standing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
