Part-Time LVN Nurse (PRN) 3pm-11pm (Active license in CA)
This position functions under the direction of an RN or physician, demonstrating above average communication skills, personal integrity, and works effectively with patients, family members, physicians, staff, and outside agencies as required. The primary role of the Licensed Practical Nurse is to provide primary skin care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents’ attending physicians, the Director of Nursing Services, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders. You will also assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psycho-social needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of this state and the policies and goals of this facility.
Credentials:
License or Certification:
- LPN license active in the state
- CPR certification required
Education, Training and Years of Experience:
- Continuous updating of wound care knowledge through seminars and professional organizations is required.
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.
Physical Requirements:
- Good visual acuity and ability to communicate.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds, which includes participating in patient mobility activities. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.

Proficiency or Productivity Standards:
- Has regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work shift(s) as assigned by management which may include weekdays, weekends, evenings, night shifts, religious and/or legal holidays.
- Adheres to hospital/department dress code including wearing ID badge.
- Will be required to work as necessary during disaster situations, i.e., before, during or after a disaster.
- May be required to stay after workday to assist after a disaster situation until relief arrives.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
