Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Security, the corporate security investigator is responsible for conducting complex investigations of fraud, criminal conduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other work-related violations of company policies or procedures.
Responsibilities

Conduct investigations related to fraud, criminal conduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other work-related violations of company policies or procedures.

Maintain close partnership with People & Culture, Legal, law enforcement personnel, and other members of the corporate team.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements with federal, state, and local criminal and employment laws and regulations; recommends best practices and reviews policies to maintain compliance.

Provide guidance on handling employee grievances and disputes.

Identify legal risks related to internal safeguarding practices, policies, and procedures. Provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate risks and minimize potential liability.

Provide litigation support by liaising between Corporate Security, Swickard Legal team, law enforcement agencies, and outside legal counsel in litigation matters.

Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive investigations and legal matters. Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees while protecting the organization's interests.

Prepare detailed reports of investigation findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Maintain secure repository and tracking system reports and evidence gathered.

Manage, audit, and develop training for Lost and Found program; conduct semiannual audits for compliance and manage final disposition of items; develop and implement solutions for any deficiencies discovered.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Must possess a valid Driver's License and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal investigations, preferably in a law enforcement, corporate, or retail setting.

Knowledge of multiple federal and state-respective criminal and employment laws. Experience in California law is a plus.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Incumbents may be required to be on-call and work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing surveillance video, working at a computer terminal, expansive reading and visual inspection of team members, visitors, or facility.

Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
