Key Responsibilities
As an Application Engineer, you will be focusing on providing expertise in the development and implementation of robot simulation solutions for a variety of industries. Your role involves understanding client requirements, designing realistic simulations, creating accurate virtual environments to test and optimize robotic programs, supporting pre-sales and offering strategic insights to optimize robotic and automation systems. You are expected to:
Technical Support & Consultancy
- Provide hands-on assistance and mentoring related to project implementation, configuration, testing and software validation for customers.
- Develop, deliver and maintain training content related to Virtual Commissioning, Advanced Control and overall digital twinning topics.
- Provide knowledge transfer to the customer team responsible for training, support, validation, and deployment.
- Assist internal/external consulting, training and education resources as requested.
- Assist with User Interface (UI) design and internal software development.
Simulation Development:
- Design and develop realistic simulation models for robotic systems using Siemens Process Simulate and/or Plant Simulation
- Create virtual environments that replicate real-world scenarios to test and validate robotic applications.
- Develop scripts to automate simulation processes and analyze results.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on simulation results to enhance robotic system design and functionality.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with robotics and mechatronics systems.
- Experience in process design and process engineering.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.
- Proven experience in Robot Offline Programming (OLP) with expertise in OLP software.
- Strong understanding of robotic systems, kinematics, and dynamics.
- Familiarity with a range of robotic systems, sensors, and automation technologies.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and best practices in OLP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate, TIA Portal and/or SIMIT.
- Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.
- Basic coding skills.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
