TECHNICAL SERVICE ENGINEER – EXTRUSION PRODUCTS
Our client is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to assist customers, primarily in the PVC Wire and Cable industry. This role involves heavy travel (50%-75%) primarily to the Midwest and Southeast, with occasional trips to Canada. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot quality processing issues, optimize processes, and build strong customer relationships.
**If you do not have multiple years of hands-on extrusion processing experience, you will not be considered for the role**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Optimize and troubleshoot processes at customer facilities.
- Resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Act as the technical interface between customers and internal teams.
- Present technical findings and introduce new products.
- Lead project management initiatives.
- Implement best practices for continuous improvement.
- Ensure product quality and consistency.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, with a focus on Plastics or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of process improvement/engineering experience in the plastics industry, with PVC / Wire and Cable extrusion experience preferred. (Other extrusion products/materials will still be considered)
- Proficiency in process optimization and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of plastic materials and processing parameters.
