What you’ll do
The Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.

Perform routine safety checks of door lock systems, water temperatures, etc. as directed and in accordance with established procedures.

Ensure facility equipment is working properly, including, but not limited to, HVAC systems, Nurse Call systems, emergency electrical generators, fire alarm systems, facility owned vehicles, plumbing systems, and the electrical distribution systems.

Complete work orders timely through an electronic portal system.
What it takes

High school diploma or GED
-
Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.

Minimum of 1 year of advanced technical training in mechanical, electrical, and civil maintenance

Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Hospital, Long-Term care facility, or Fitness/Wellness Center

Building Trade Experience

Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs. Anything heavier than 50 lbs. must require assistance or assistive equipment for task to be performed safely.
