Job Summary
The role of the Accounts Receivable Specialist Level 1 is to assist in the day to day tasks of the Accounts Receivable (AR) Team using basic accounting knowledge and procedures. This includes invoicing, payment collections, and payment application. This position will require customer service skills to manage customer accounts effectively and assist internal teams with AR related issues. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills will also be crucial for success
Essential Functions-
Prepare and send customer invoices
-
Gather and verify invoices prior to payment; post customer payments for multiple business units
-
Manage and process credit card payments
-
Apply customer credits to accounts
-
Monitor AR collections; contact clients via telephone, e-mail, and mail regarding past due accounts
-
Collaborate with operations and customer support team on RMA related issues
-
Communicate discrepancies to department manager, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates
-
Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for process improvement
-
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with local, state, and federal requirements

Wear proper PPE when out on the manufacturing floor with operations employees

Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Professional Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

1-3 years’ experience in accounts Receivable role required.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:-
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to use hands and fingers to reach with hands and arms to operate computer, phone and general office equipment and handle documents.

Ability to talk or hear.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout workday.

Ability to carry or lift up to 10 lbs occasionally throughout workday.

Ability to focus vision for close vision, depth perception, and adjusting to sharp focus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Hours:-
1st shift work schedule, Monday through Friday

Travel Requirements:-
Must possess a valid driver’s license and proper insurance coverage for required travel

Local travel, between facilities (10%)
