We are looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant with experience in medical spa services, weight loss programs, and hormone therapy to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess a strong knowledge of medical procedures and terminology related to these areas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical tasks under the direction of a healthcare provider in the context of medical spa services, weight loss programs, and hormone therapy
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately, with a focus on these specialized areas
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures related to weight loss, hormones, and aesthetic treatments
- Administer medications, including IM and subcutaneous injections, as directed by the physician
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, including drawing blood, and sterilize medical instruments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes related to weight loss and hormone therapy
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records, specifically related to these specialized areas
- Willingness to see veterinary examinations at least one day a week, if needed
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs measurement, with a focus on medical spa, weight loss, and hormone therapy terminology
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in coding and medication administration preferred, particularly in the context of medical spa services, weight loss programs, and hormone therapy
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient care, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding in these specialized areas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, such as a medical spa or clinic, with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction
