Job Description: Responsible for supporting Desktops, Laptops, Chromebooks, District approved software applications, iPads, iOS Apps, Printers and Faxes. Provide responsive and courteous support to end-users ranging from students to administrators. Ability to work well in a fast-paced setting, independently or as a team, and absorb complex content quickly. Eagerness to learn new technologies. Strong organizational and time management skills. Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Short travel to school locations is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
.Troubleshoot and repair PC, Chromebook, and iPad hardware and software problems.
· Imaging Windows computers and backup/restoration of user data.
· Support and troubleshoot networked printers.
· Troubleshoot and instruct end-users on district approved peripherals.
· Assist usage with, and repair of, projector systems, interactive whiteboards/flat panels.
· Understanding of Windows Domain, Active Directory and Group Policy concepts.
· Basic troubleshooting of TCP/IP, networking and wireless technologies.
· Provide end user support for Cisco VoIP phones.
· Support staff in usage of Google Suite for Education.
· Process warranty repairs of hardware to be shipped to vendor depots for service.
· Support District 54 initiatives regarding the integration of technology into instruction.
· Work with a wide range of diverse users with varying technical abilities.
· Communicate technical information to all staff.
· Manage support calls within the District’s Helpdesk application.
· Work confidently and securely with sensitive/confidential data.
· Assist in tracking inventory of technology equipment.
· Lead groups of temporary summer employees in new technology deployments and
refresh of existing technologies.
· The ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Follow through with all other duties assigned by the Director of Information
Technology.
Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ Certification (Preferred)
- Windows: 2 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 2 year (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
