We are looking for a bright medical assistant who is willing to learn both front and back positions in a small pediatric clinical office. We are trying to fill a full-time (5 days and 40 hours per week) predominantly back-office position that can also float to help the front nursing staff as needed.
Back-office duties will include helping to swab patients, rooming patients, taking vitals, helping to bag and tag labs, going through labs, documents, referrals and helping with vaccine administration. Phlebotomy is a strong plus. This list is a basic understanding of the position but not comprehensive.
Additional front office duties may include scheduling appointments, answering/triaging patient phone calls, collecting bills, verifying insurance, going through faxes and administration duties as needed.
Characteristics that are important in our medical staff include but are not limited to being a team player, a self-starter, technical savvy, adaptability, and positive outlook. We are a small and progressive company. We are moving in the direction of being a highly technological office and require comfort in using the computer and different software programs and apps. We use ECW and Phreesia. Experience in these are a plus but not a requirement. However, EMR (electronic medical records) experience is required. Experience in medicine is a must. Pediatric experience is preferred. Adaptability and being able to float as needed is also a requirement.
We value immunizations in children and do require this from our patients and staff. If you are not comfortable with this, we wish you the best of luck in your search.
Interviews will only be extended to those that are available to start now and are located within a 1 hour drive or closer during rush hour traffic.
We are looking for long-term employees. We hope to meet you soon!
