Who Are We?
Rock Exotica was born from a passion and an intuitive curiosity that our Founder, Rock Thompson, has carried with him throughout his life. It all started, naturally, with his love for rock climbing. In 1987, Rock Exotica got its start in a humble two car garage. Rock had bought an old WWII milling machine that was broken down, got it working and designed his first product - the Soloist. In the following years, Rock Exotica would continue to revolutionize the equipment available to professional users. Although Rock Exotica continues to evolve, a few things remain the same: our desire to produce the most innovative technical equipment available in our industry; our focus on safety & quality; and our commitment to proudly design, manufacture, and assemble our equipment in the USA.
Our products provide unique, high-end fall protection that mitigates risk and helps save lives. Our products are used in high-adventure/high-risk technical professions such as search & rescue, lineman, arborists, film/music/aerial entertainment, rock climbing, and many others.
Our employees are our number one asset. We work as a team to keep each other safe and help each other improve. Our employees have pride in their work and that comes with a passion for Safety, Quality, and getting the job done.
Successful employees put quality over volume, team over the individual, and love challenges over comfort. This is a manufacturing job, if you don't like solving problems - don't apply! We need people that have a safety/quality mindset, want to be creative, and understand that failure is learning.
