Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff
- Support patients with behavioral health needs in a compassionate and understanding manner
- Provide care for pediatric patients and experience working with children is preferred
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment and supplies
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) and its proper use
- Provide care for patients with special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Cerner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant training program and current certification
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
