Job Requirements

Maintain and repair grain elevator and processing plant operating equipment, including but not limited to; screw conveyors, bucket belt elevator, drag conveyors, boilers, hammer mills and any other specific items related to the mechanical operation of the equipment.

Evaluates, repairs and ensures precise equipment maintenance records are maintained.

Prior experience with methods, practices, materials, tools and equipment commonly used in maintenance, repair, testing and trouble-shooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics

The ability to work with hand tools and electrical test equipment
-
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common prints/schematics
-
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position including, ascending grain bins, prolonged periods of standing, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.) and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

Exhibit a professional image at all times, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude

Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Assure the continuous functioning of grain elevator operating equipment
-
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and provide prompt solutions
-
Review and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facilities and equipment
-
Be available for emergency repairs and assistance on larger projects
-
Welding and fabricating various projects
-
Assist grain elevator staff with various projects
-
Maintain safe company facilities and work areas
Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following:
-
Prior ag maintenance experience
-
Experience with grain handling systems
-
A positive, team-work attitude and excellent work ethic
-
Ability to work at heights greater than 100 feet.
-
Ability to repetitively lift over 70 pounds
-
Ability to operate a forklift and/or skid steer loader
-
Class B CDL preferred, but not required
-
Strong mechanical ability and mathematical aptitude
-
Diagnose problems and repair equipment as needed, recognizing when to recommend outsourcing projects when necessary.

Assist grain elevator staff with various projects
-
3 (three) plus years of manufacturing experience
-
Knowledge of Stick and MIG Welding and automated manufacturing PLC systems

Fabrication
-
Basic Electrical
-
Ability to bend, turn, twist, climb ladders, stairs and bins
-
Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperature
