Crownstone Outdoor Power is seeking to offer employment for a Lawn & Garden Sales Specialist in the Prince William County, Virginia territory. This position provides both an in-house showroom selling opportunity, as well as the exciting “on the road hunt” for clientele within their own environments.

The Lawn and Garden Sales Representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele. Develop and implement Sales Territory plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions with Customers and Prospects.

- Meet and exceed sales goals identified by the Director of Lawn and Garden Sales
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
- Generate and develop New Customers through various tactics in order to meet and exceed sales goals
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products, applications, and safety procedures to share with customers.
- Become an expert in the industry and resource for your customers. Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct presentations, demonstrations, and training with customers and prospects.
- Coordinate and communicate daily with branch personnel to meet and exceed the service expectations of our Customers.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
- Split time between Outside Sales and Inside Sales 60/40
- Performs other duties as assigned
Educational & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field, or equivalent in experience
- At least five years of agricultural, construction, landscaping, lawn & garden, or turf maintenance retail experience preferred
- DOT Medical Card preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision. The employee must also be able to travel regularly for work and operate a motor vehicle.
