Job Overview:
The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating aide placement and clerical functions. He/she functions under the direction of the Operations Manager.
Duties:
1. Answers telephone, records and relays messages to appropriate personnel.
2. Manages telephone calls in a supportive, reassuring manner for patients, families, physicians and others.
3. Coordinates placement of services between clients and the paraprofessional staff.
4. Maintains and documents communication with paraprofessionals in all appropriate places as trained by supervisor
5. Maintains a schedule of all services per month.
6. Verifies billed services against requested services.
7. Assists with screening of home health aides.
8. Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy with dignity and respect.
9. Participates in patient case conferences, in-service programs and orientation.
10. Communicates with the supervisor regarding scheduling, availability, attendance, and assignment.
11. Communicates with interdisciplinary team as needed
12. Responsible for Prebilling
13. Performs on-call weekend responsibilities on a rotation with co-workers.
Requirements:
1. Good organizational and communication skills.
2. Mature individual, able to handle confidential aspects of the job.
3. Bilingual Spanish/ English
4. Proficient in computer programs including but not limited to outlook, excel and Word.
5. Knows HHAexchange
