Palouse River Counseling in Pullman, WA, a leader in behavioral health, is seeking an exceptional and committed individual for a full time mental health counselor position on the Children's Team. Palouse River Counseling is a non-profit, Pullman, WA based organization that has provided behavioral health services for the Palouse Region for over 50 years. Our dedicated staff deliver unparalleled Mental Health and Chemical Dependency counselling services to our clients. We are also an NHSC Loan Repayment approved site.
The position provides mental health and group services for youth and their families in Whitman County; collaborates with schools and other community agencies to provide a holistic treatment approach. Utilization and knowledge of co-occurring disabilities including but not limited to depression, anxiety, developmental trauma, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and also knowledge of the Washington State wrap-around program delivery services is required.
Preferred Qualifications include either a fully licensed social worker or mental health counselor license with three year's experience working with children.
Minimum Qualifications would require a Masters in Psychology or a related field and full licensure upon hire with two years experience working with children.
We prefer experience with attachment theory, counseling, wrap-around services, family systems and intake assessments/diagnosis. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver's license, possess a full WA MH Counselor or clinical social worker license and have reliable transportation. Must provide three recent or current professional work references with application and a cover letter.
