SUMMARY:
Assist the Fresh and/or Center Store Sales team with all aspects of the department, with the primary focus on buyer and procurement assistance. Extensive retailer, vendor and sales team interaction and communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Buyers in all procurement aspects of the department with primary responsibility of creating PO’s and assisting member retailers.
- Contact brokers, vendors, and sales representatives for needed information by the department.
- Create promotional (Excel) documents pertinent to item and category information or as requested the Buyers or Sales Manager.
- Enter store orders in the system and re-bill out of stocks / reship product.
- Submit and research store credit requests.
- Track and monitor purchase orders and SSO orders.
- Create on Demand reports for Buyers and Category Managers on a daily basis or as needed.
- Assist in the billing back of manufacturers and vendors for appropriate charges.
- Move daily stores orders as needed to support daily retail service level.
- Communicate with the corporate traffic department and suppliers on email or phone.
- Perform other duties as required by Sales Manager or Buyers.

- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to perform bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching from a floor level to six feet in height. Walking, writing, sitting, and climbing
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel and Access knowledge
- Detail oriented, organized and accurate, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strategic thinker who identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Knowledge of SCM and mainframe systems and functions
- Strong math skills and proficient in 10-key
- Strong communication skills
