We are looking for an experienced Safety Compliance Manager to oversee our internal safety programs across all business units. This includes adherence to all state, federal, and OSHA rules and regulations as well as compliance with internal policies and procedures. This position is highly visible to senior leadership and requires subject matter expertise in safety and operational compliance.
Specific Job Duties Include:
- Manage the coordination and implementation of the safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Maintain the addition of relevant content for the Safety Manual and Business Continuity Plan.
- Perform live safety inspections for field technicians.
- Track and order all personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Develop and assign valuable training content as part of ongoing safety training practices for all employees.
- Assist the HR Director in the tracking and managing of active workers’ compensation claim and conduct post-accident investigations to identify causes and hazards that need to be improved upon and presented to senior management.
- Ensure COI compliance for workers compensation, general liability, and auto liability insurance through weekly audits of missing, expired or incorrect policies.
- Develop and train management on proper accident and/or injury reporting procedures.
- Maintains safety files and records, performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures were indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Assist Operations with warehouse organization and environmental safety best practices to ensure compliance with state, federal and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree in business administration is highly preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in safety management and administration.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience.
- Intermediate to advanced content development experience (training presentations, assessments, templates, manuals, policies etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized.
- Excellent time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
