As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, taking food and drink orders, serving meals, and ensuring that our guests have a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. Your friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude, provide menu recommendations, answer questions about food and beverage options, and ensure that each guest feels valued and cared for throughout their visit.
Order Taking: Accurately and efficiently take food and drink orders from guests, ensuring to pay attention to any special requests or dietary requirements. Use the restaurant's order-taking system to input and process orders promptly.
Food and Beverage Service: Deliver orders to guests' tables in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Suggestively sell additional items like appetizers, desserts, or beverages to enhance the dining experience.
Table Maintenance: Set up tables, ensuring they are well-organized, clean, and properly equipped with condiments, utensils, and napkins after bussing. Monitor tables throughout the guests' stay, promptly clearing empty dishes and refilling drinks as needed.
Upselling and Revenue Generation: Maximize sales by upselling and promoting special offers, daily specials, or loyalty programs to encourage repeat visits and boost overall revenue.
Knowledge of Menu: Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens, to confidently answer guest inquiries and offer appropriate alternatives when necessary.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with other restaurant staff, such as kitchen personnel, hosts/hostesses, and managers, to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times. Enforce cleanliness standards throughout the dining area, ensuring tables, chairs, floors, and service stations are neat throughout your shift.
Payment Processing: Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments. Handle cash responsibly and ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to food safety and health standards, as well as the restaurant's policies and procedures, to guarantee a safe and compliant dining environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar fast casual restaurant or customer service role is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
