THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Love to get their hands dirty, be known as a “gearhead”
- Be able to prioritize and troubleshoot diagnostic issues in the field
- Be a self-starter, able to complete tasks using their knowledge and skill,
THE SERVICE ENGINEER WILL:
- Modify engineering prints and drawings for component orders, update and design custom parts for customers as needed using SolidWorks.
- Provide Job Order write-up, scope of work for large-scale orders, repairs and retrofits, and provide quotes for project using standard costs, reference BOM’s and cost estimating.
- Produce and review repair plans and accurate quotes, to include all necessary parts, shop labor and field labor with customers to assure full understanding of projects.
- Support customers with appropriate technical information, machine manuals and technical documentation, develop documentation for support as required.
- Reverse engineer customer equipment in field setting to produce and manufacture parts for customer equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering analysis, generally obtained by 3-5 years experience in metal stamping or coil handling industry.
- Minimum 1-2 years design or repair of Industrial Machinery Mechanical systems
- Minimum 1-2 years design or repair of Industrial Machinery Electrical Systems
- Minimum 1-2 years working with Controls systems, preferably Allen Bradley
- Working knowledge of Industrial Safety practices.
- Ability to read and edit mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and utility schematics using SolidWorks and AutoCad.
- Experience using portable 3D Scanners and develop engineering drawings from scans
- Detail and results oriented
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of responsibility & self-motivation
- Ability to work in a team environment and complete department tasks as needed
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and provide excellent customer service, and able to clearly communicate diagnosis and repair plans with customers
- Able to travel up to 30%
