Scope of the role
As an Elevator Mechanic , you will play a pivotal role in installing or repairing our elevator and lift systems installed in the NYC Metropolitan Area. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovation, quality, and reliability.
Basic Qualifications:
· 7 years of experience in the lift industry, including hands-on experience with lift installation, maintenance, and repairs.
· Experience in Installation and Repair of Passenger and Freight Elevators, Private home Elevators (Traction and Hydro), Vertical and Incline Platform Lifts, Material Lifts and Dumbwaiters.
· Experience with controller configuration for Smartrise, Wurcon, EMI, Savaria, etc.
· Troubleshooting and Diagnostic Technical expertise
· Knowledge of MS Office 365
· C.A.T or C.E.T. Certification preferred
· Must have a clean and valid drivers license and reliable means transport to get to job sites.
· OSHA 30 / NYC SST Card, NYS Elevator Mechanic License Required
· QEI or NYC Private Agency Inspectors License Preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete Elevator Installation: Hands on field work including management of helpers, delivery of equipment, installation, adjustment / fine tuning and Inspection of complete elevator systems.
Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on lift systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Diagnostic: Identifying and diagnosing issues with lift systems, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
Troubleshooting: Implementing effective troubleshooting strategies to resolve problems and minimize downtime.
Repairs and Replacements: Performing necessary repairs or replacements of faulty components, such as motors, control panels, sensors, and safety features.
Emergency Callouts: Responding to emergency service calls for lift malfunctions, breakdowns, or other urgent issues, and providing prompt resolutions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
