General Responsibilities:
This is an on-site position that will be responsible for helping to ensure smooth operations throughout the company by assisting other administrators with tasks and projects and helping with the provision of services for clients. The On-Call DSP helps problem solve and implement solutions to operational challenges as they arise. The position will need to be versatile and able to fulfill a number of different job responsibilities of both administrators, direct support staff and transportation services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Building positive and meaningful relationships with all stakeholders for effective interactions
- Learning each client case in the company for administrative and direct support purposes
- Helping bridge staffing needs, including but not limited to:
o Intake, development, and implementation of service for new clients while client transitions in and permanent staff can be obtained
o Temporary filling a vacated position of a staff until new staff can be hired and trained
o Substituting for staff who are absent when other team members are unavailable
- Being a resource for other administrators and helping them with miscellaneous tasks and responsibilities
- Understanding and able to perform all aspects of care for each client for the purposes of:
o Effective oversight and supervision
o Training new staff as necessary
o To substitute and provide backup care and services when other team member staff are unavailable
- Other tasks and responsibilities assigned by supervisor as needed.
Typical Hours:
- Typically, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 3 PM – 11 PM
- Times may be required to vary some, to accommodate company/ client meetings or needs
- Additional hours are able to picked up, if desired, providing billed services
Differential Pay:
• Monday - Thursday 3 pm - 11 pm: Additional $1 per hour
• Friday 3 pm - Sunday 11 pm: Additional $2 per hour
Job Classification:
- This is a full-time hourly position
- We consider the position non-exempt and the employee will receive overtime pay (1.5x the regular pay rate) for any worked hours over 40 in a Sunday through Saturday time period
Job Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism (5 years+ preferred)
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Have and maintain legal and reliable transportation
- Pass a criminal background check
- Physical and TB as required for licensed settings
- CPR certification as required for licensed settings
- Ability to lift
- Familiarity with and the ability to use a computer and office type software
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to work well with and cooperate effectively with others as a team
