Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager. This role is pivotal in our organization, embodying exceptional leadership qualities as a head of the restaurant, a brand ambassador, and the driving force behind our kitchen operations. Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a vital role as a key member of our leadership team. Your expertise in kitchen operations, including ordering, troubleshooting, and developing the kitchen staff, will be crucial. Upholding our high-quality standards, ensuring the efficiency of our kitchen systems, and managing the financial aspects of the back of the house will be your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. In addition to culinary expertise, the Kitchen Manager will play a crucial role in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
Responsibilities:
1. Culinary Leadership:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of food production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Create and update menu items, considering customer preferences, cost, and seasonal availability.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
2. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage kitchen budgets, including food and labor costs.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising the quality of food or service.
- Regularly review and analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
3. Budgeting:
- Collaborate with the management team to establish annual budgets for the kitchen.
- Monitor and control expenses, staying within budgetary constraints.
- Implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
4. Inventory Control:
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and adjust orders accordingly.
5. Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve the best possible deals.
- Stay informed about market trends and product availability.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in local and state regulations related to the kitchen and food service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with local health and safety regulations.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
