RN Registered Specialty Hospital Hiring Requirements:
- Current Kansas or Multistate RN Licensure Required
- Up to 2 years of acute and/or critical care experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, CPR Certification
- 12 Months recent Registered Nurse verifiable work experience
- Standard Hospital Vaccinations Required
- Physicals, TB, Hep B, Flu, MMR & Varicella Immunization Records
- Reliable, Professional and with reliable Transportation

RN Registered Nurse LTAC Job-Specific Duties:
- Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Provide patient information and status in a timely manner for Team Conferences on a weekly basis.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program on assigned unit. Use a positive and encouraging approach to achieve patient goals and quality outcomes.
- Communicate all pertinent information regarding changes in patient's status from one care provider to another.
- Provide direction, training and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel by utilizing problem solving techniques in decision-making, organizing, setting priorities and using time effectively. Delegate appropriately.
- Provide for and assure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.
- Initiate discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission. Initiate patient teaching in anticipation of the discharge date.
- Maintain communication with manager and senior nursing staff related to service needs.
- Assume Charge responsibility following orientation period as requested.
- Identify and initiate own professional growth.
- Prioritize activities and plans for effective use of time and staff in meeting patient needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
