We are seeking applicants in the Human Services field, living in the areas of Boston and surrounding towns, who are interested and/or looking to gain experience as a Teacher's Aide/Assistant to assist with the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team. The Teacher Assistant supports the planning and implementation of the performance standards and promotes the mission of the program.

This role is perfect for someone looking to gain or continue their experience working with early education. Candidates should be interested in providing preschool children with a joyful, nurturing, safe, and healthy environment that allows them to develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Responsibilities:

Arrive to assignment on time with a positive attitude and ready to assist in the classroom.

Participate in the development of lesson plans and individualized activities.

Keep records of daily observations of children and communication with parents.

Report to the Teacher or Lead Teacher regarding the daily classroom duties.
Skills & Abilities

Good interpersonal skills; work cooperatively as a member of a teaching team, with other program staff and parents.

Demonstrate knowledge and sensitivity to the education and socioeconomic needs of children in the program.

Remain alert during school hours.

Capability to engage in physical activities related to the role.

Supervise and monitor children at all times.
Assistant Teacher Requirements:

High school Diploma or equivalent.

CPR/FA Certificate
-
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required.

EEC Certification is a plus, but not required.

Immunziations & Phsyical required

Passion for the Early Education field is not required but encouraged.

The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and should have the energy, drive, and enthusiasm to keep up with the kids.
