What You’ll Do:
A lead radiology position is a supervisory role within a healthcare facility's radiology department, responsible for overseeing the daily operations and managing a team of radiology technologists.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Supervising and managing a team of radiology technologists and support staff within the department.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the radiology department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Providing guidance, training, and support to radiology technologists to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
- Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and imaging services.
- Handling administrative tasks such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, and budgeting for the radiology department.
- Participating in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in radiology technology and procedures and recommending updates or enhancements to improve patient care and service delivery.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervising and coordinating the activities of radiology technologists, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to departmental protocols and procedures.
- Providing guidance and training to radiology staff, including mentoring, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards in the performance of radiology procedures.
- Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and imaging services.
- Maintaining equipment, supplies, and inventory in the radiology department, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Handling scheduling and staffing assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the radiology department.
- Participating in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in radiology technology and procedures and recommending updates or enhancements to improve patient care and service delivery.
What You Need For This Job:

Two years of relevant clinical experience
- Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology Degree
- AART Certified
- CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Must reside in or near Anchorage, Alaska.
- Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
