Job Requirements
- Able to troubleshoot electrical faults in newly assembled products and fix them using provided schematics.
- Experience with building, troubleshooting, and correcting mechanical assemblies controlled by electronics.
- Desire to work with complex robotic products.
- Assemble electronic devices and products.
- Assemble interconnect cables.
- Assemble other products as assigned.
- Utilize engineering drawings, electrical schematics, BOM’s and other documents as required.
- Troubleshoot finished products and assemblies.
- Accurately account for materials per processes and procedures.
- Log time into the computer.
- Inspect parts for surface defects.
Required Skills:
- Be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Must have a good knowledge of basic hand tool and the ability to use them.
- Be able to use small power tools (drills, Dremel, drill press, etc.).
- Be able read and understand Digital Volt Meters.
- Be able to use and understand how to use Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Hi-Pot, Vector scope, etc.).
- Be able to solder through hole and surface mount circuit boards.
- Be able to read, understand and communicate the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Be able to troubleshoot electronic devices.
Required Experience and Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 year of electronic technology or 5 years of field experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in electronic assembly.
- Able to troubleshoot down to component level.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to move about the department freely.
