Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Dedicated One-on-One Care
About Us
At Set Physical Therapy, we are dedicated to creating an environment where physical therapists can thrive and grow. We deeply value the individual contributions of each team member and are committed to supporting their passions. Our flexible work arrangements are designed to ensure you achieve a harmonious balance between your professional ambitions and personal life. We have two Metro-accessible offices in Washington, DC. The centrally located Metro Center office features three private treatment rooms and a large gym area, while the convenient West End office offers two private treatment rooms and access to a spacious gym. Both locations provide modern facilities and a collaborative environment for professional growth.
Unique Role Highlights
What sets the role at Set apart? All sessions are conducted one-on-one for a full hour in a private treatment room. This allows therapists to effectively use their problem-solving skills to delve deep into the root causes of client issues, employing creative diagnostic and treatment methods that go beyond traditional approaches. The manageable caseload helps decrease burnout and increase overall job satisfaction—our therapists can vouch for this!
Schedule Flexibility
Our physical therapists excel at managing their own schedules, aligning work commitments with personal responsibilities. This full-time role allows you to determine specific days and times for client visits. If you aim to treat a higher number of clients per week, we are eager to collaborate with you to meet your professional goals.
Client Care Philosophy
We emphasize the importance of a thorough initial evaluation, which includes assessing not only physical but also psychosocial, environmental, and behavioral factors. By asking deep, meaningful questions from the start, we can pinpoint the underlying causes of a client's pain. It's vital that our therapists connect empathetically, ensuring clients feel seen and understood, thus building trust and paving the way for effective treatment and compassionate care.
Our Team’s Reach
Our dynamic, dedicated team spans Atlanta, Washington DC, and New York. The collaborative spirit of our professionals has enabled us to effectively treat complex conditions such as POTS, EDS, and chronic pain. Each member brings unique skills that enhance our ability to address intricate diagnoses. We currently serve a large population of EDS clients and offer an excellent training program to support physical therapists who are new to treating this population.
Marketing and Outreach
While marketing may seem daunting, it doesn't have to be. At Set, we harness the unique skills of our therapists to forge mutually beneficial relationships with doctors, nutritionists, personal trainers, Pilates instructors, and gym owners. This approach not only enhances our referral network but also strengthens our community ties.
Experience and Qualifications
Given the one-on-one nature of our work setting, which offers limited therapist interaction, we recommend candidates have at least two years of experience in an orthopedic setting. A valid license to practice physical therapy in the District of Columbia is required, along with strong capabilities in managing diverse client portfolios, developing tailored treatment plans, and demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication. Creativity in problem-solving, a passion for physical therapy, and a commitment to patient health and wellness are also crucial.
