Job Summary: Responsible for supervising all employees involved in the tempering process including safety, quality, training, and daily work produced. This position helps Tempering Production Manager achieve shift production, quality, and safety goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drives safety culture and compliance with safety policies in all tempering areas to prevent injuries. Monitors employees and machinery to correct any safety issues. It ensures that the tempering area meets all internal and external safety requirements. Conduct security audits daily.

It drives quality assurance in processes to ensure that all products leaving the warehouse are manufactured to the specifications of the order and do not present failures that make them unusable for the customer. Trains leaders and employees in the steps and quality controls. Conduct quality audits on a daily basis.

Inspire employees to develop a culture of cleanliness, 5S and cleaning practices. Ensures employees keep work areas and machines clean and tidy.

It sets expectations and provides training and tools needed to meet those expectations. Coaches and mentors employees through discussion and feedback to develop the skills they need to succeed in their roles.

Assists Tempering's Production Manager with workload assignment and goal changes in all areas and works with leaders to meet goals and troubleshoot issues.

Supervises tempering employees during the assigned shift to ensure that each of the tempering areas meets their shift production expectations.
Required Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of the tempering and production process.

Great knowledge of the glass industry, storage procedures and logistics.

Demonstrated ability to lead people and results-oriented.

Ability to train and guide employees to perform functions successfully.

Physical demands: Must be able to lift glass panels up to 75 pounds. Mainly standing and walking.
Work environment: Warehouse environment. Office environment with controlled heating and cooling.
Education required: High school.
Experience required: 5-8 years of tempering experience.
