HLB Lighting Design is in search of an experienced HR Business Partner to join our passionate, collaborative, and results-driven team. As a HRBP, you will sit alongside and collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement strategies that support people and organizational needs in addition to helping develop and deploy a strategic HR People Plan.

This full-time position will be in one of our offices (NYC, Denver, LA, SF, Miami, or Boson). We are seeking a seasoned HRBP who is resilient, adaptable, pragmatic and a strong team player. Your passion for enriching the lives of team members, as well as the firm, is your driving force in your delivery of HR expertise.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with team members located in HLB offices, as well as your HR colleagues.

Identify and anticipate strategic and operational business and human capital challenges, with a strong ability to provide and execute innovative solutions with attention to critical details.

Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by presenting multiple perspectives and thoughtful insights.

Demonstrate and effectively scale the application of HR disciplines including employee engagement, retention and talent development, succession planning change, conflict and exit management, employee legislation, employee relations performance management, investigations, role development and evaluation, compensation management, internal communication, coaching, data analytics, workforce planning, policy interpretation, and inclusion and diversity to positively impact HLBs culture.

Develop and implement HR-related projects and participate as a team member on special initiatives as needed.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset and continually look for opportunities to increase the return on investment of human resources programs for team members and leaders.

Champion and solidify full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent across the country and internationally.
- Implement, manage, and train team members on the use of automated performance management tools that enrich and enhance the continual feedback and escalation of personal growth and development.

Support our geographic expansions in and outside of the United States with a willingness to serve our international team members operating in differing time zones.

Keep abreast of changing HR regulatory requirements and support the implementation of these requirements across all HLB offices.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in human resources/behavior psychology or related field, Master’s degree a plus.

Human Resources Certifications preferred or willingness to obtain first level of certification within first year of employment.

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience with AEC experience preferred.

Experience with PayPro and Deltek is highly desirable, but not mandatory.

Advanced skills with automated recruitment and performance management software required.

AEC industry experience is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
Compensation
$90,465.35 - $98,106.84
The final agreed upon compensation is based on cost of living, individual education, qualifications, and experience.
