What You Need To Know:
Minimize and reduce the number of trailers in the yard.
Coordinate trailer management with the service group, and distribution.
Ensure uninterrupted supply of JIT production support materials.
Develop and maintain data bases for routing, costing, utilization.
Work closely with planners and other trucking users to identify areas of cost reduction through inventory reduction and equipment utilization.
Collaborate with external partners to ensure continuity of supply chain in support of plant requirements.
Increase logistics efficiencies.
Work with other departments and facilities to ensure least cost logistics options are identified and implemented.
Coordinate with the planning group on JIT planning for tires, engines, batteries, transaxles and packaging.
Ensure all logistics actives follow all regulations for DOT, health and safety compliance and all other HOP policies and procedures.
Input data to prepare and present weekly KPI’s ensuring department metrics are achieved and maintained.
Lead projects and facilitate meetings supporting logistics planning and scheduling.
Meet objectives, provide ideas for improving personal processes in carrying out the work.
Control stock levels of trailers on our yard and those which we lease within targeted goals.
Maintains and enhances relationships with other plants, drivers, dispatch planning and warehousing personnel with respect to HOP rules and regulations
Train other personnel as required.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of 4 years of warehouse management preferred, Logistics management, Supply chain Planning Management experience is preferred. It can be any combination of experiences. High volume consumer products manufacturing experience is desired. APICS or ISM certification is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is Strongly preferred. Experience in logistics, trucking, route mapping a plus.

Excellent leadership, teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are required, along with a strong work ethic and sound business judgment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently, learn independently and effectively in a fast paced and high stress environment, be proactive, and follow up on outstanding issues until a successful resolution is achieved is required.
Solid personal computer skills are required, to include, but not limited to: MS Office software applications with advanced skills in Excel.
Ability to travel, work off shifts and overtime (including weekends) as needed is required.
High level of, analytical and planning skills, proficient in excel and transportation systems
