Position Title: Eyes on Glass Event Management Triage Engineer, Mid (ASAR)
2nd shift: 2:30 PM TO 11 PM CST
Days: FRIDAY TO TUESDAY
Pay: $70,000 w/ full benefits package (negotiable upon qualifications)
LOCATION: ONSITE /GOV SITE -AUSTIN, TX

As an Event Management Triage Engineer on our Eyes on Glass team supporting VA's Event Management, you have the chance to use your hardware and software skills to improve the monitoring and triage processes at the VA. Work in the Enterprise Command Center with the incident management, problem management, and DevOps teams to detect, investigate, and diagnose system problems and defects across Enterprise level applications and technology stacks, and evaluate and modernize VA Enterprise systems. Leverage comprehension of workflow systems and applications processes within multiple system environments. Work with system and network administrators to troubleshoot performance issues and outages. This is the chance to develop your skills in enterprise-level triage and incident resolution while gaining experience in VA system infrastructure. This work will include shift support during weekends, holidays, or off-hours, as required.
This position is on client site and three shifts are available (but are subject to change based on client needs).
You Have:
- 3+ years of experience with Enterprise IT Operations, IT Event Management, Network or Operations Centers
- 2+ years of experience using IT Monitoring Tools to troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
- 2+ years of experience working with a team to solve difficult technical challenges
- Knowledge of common large-scale cloud and on-prem IT Enterprise components, configurations and their interoperability
- Experience operating ONE of the following APM tools: AppDynamics, DynaTrace, Splunk, Aternity, SolarWinds, or ScienceLogic
- Experience with ONE or more technology areas: networks, Windows, UNIX/Linux, AWS or Azure Cloud, WebSphere Middleware, Java, VM Ware, Citrix, databases and/or other common IT Enterprise components
- Experience maintaining or troubleshooting complex IT systems, servers, networks, or infrastructure components
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 5+ years of experience in professional work environment or 13+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
