General Summary: Under the supervision of the Property Manager and direct management of the Director of Management, the Assistant Property Manager will assist the Property Manager with our Supportive Housing (SRO) of 260 units in New York City. The Assistant Property Manager is required to routinely visit each location, assist the Property Manager with his/her daily duties. On call 24/7 for the building emergencies with the Property Manager. Assist with projects within all buildings. Execute work within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Property Manager in supervising maintenance staff
- Respond to tenant complainants – Participate in regular meetings with social services.
- Practice preventative measures by conducting frequent inspections of the interior and exterior of facility.
- Oversee outside vendors and technicians that provide repairs and maintenance to the building.
· Provide written communication to tenants regarding on-going maintenance issues and repairs
- Tracking building, maintenance and repair logs
- Creating Work/Purchase orders for each location – collaboration with the Property Manager and Director of Management.
- Monitor off-line and vacant units and report to Property Manage and Director of Management.
- Enter work in the RIS system.
- Ensure building meets all city, state and federal compliance regulations and maintain accurate and up to date repair logs.
- Available to respond timely to all emergency calls and requests after regular work hours.
- Visit all the locations on a weekly basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in building management.
- Computer experience required.
- Affordable/Supportive housing experience required.
- Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.
- Follow oral and/or written instructions.
- Communicate in English efficiently in both written and oral form, bilingual preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with tenants and staff.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
