Senior Environment, Health & Safety Manager (EHS)
Greens Ledge Renewable Partners (“GLRP”) is seeking an exceptional Senior EHS Managerto develop strategies and implement compliance plans for delivering on our environmental and safety commitments for our thermal power as well as renewable energy portfolio.
GLRP is backed by the Paul Tudor Jones Family Office as well as other financial institutions and foundations. GLRP’s management team consists of Mikael Andren, CEO of Paul Tudor Jones Family Office, Steve Culliton former Head of Power and Natural Gas Trading at Castleton Commodities, Brad Romine former Head of Power Assets at Castleton Commodities, and John Vivenzio former CTO of King Street Capital. While at Castleton, Steve Culliton and Brad Romine led the effort to acquire 3GW of generation assets in North America.
This role will lead the development, implementation, and communication of environmental, health, and safety regulatory programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities also include front end diligence work for evaluating environmental risks and determining compliance of potential acquisition opportunities to further grow our portfolio.
Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued. Although the role will be based in Houston, TX, willingness to travel and develop in-person relationships, especially with the team in Darien, CT is strongly preferred.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure contractor compliance with environmental regulations and contractual requirements.
- Acts as GLRP’s representative in meetings or interactions with regulatory officials.
- Provide leadership in EHS training and promoting awareness and compliance.
- Develop Corporate EHS compliance program and requirements.
- Define and report on metrics related to EHS performance.
- Serve as the point of contact for all EHS inquiries.
- Oversee all regulatory agency reporting.
- Continually evaluate safety improvements and opportunities.
- Keep current on knowledge in environmental standards and regulations and potential risks and impacts to current portfolio and future acquisitions.
- Support assets on air, water, and waste permitting.
- Lead acquisitions/divestitures for the EHS Due Diligence process.
- Integrate and manage acquired companies and assets into the GLRP EHS platform.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of management experience in operational EHS compliance in energy and commodities infrastructure with a preference for experience with power and liquid fuels.
- Extensive knowledge in OSHA and environmental standards.
- Experience with operational sites requiring air and water permits.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong interest in problem solving.
- Proven ability to implement new ideas and directives.
- Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to multitask and work with limited supervision as a leader of a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills – demonstrated experience working with senior leaders (C-level) is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or Science required; Master’s Degree in EHS or related field would be a plus.
