Our Facility Services Team within the Administrative Services Division (ASD) is currently recruiting for an Agency Transportation Officer with strong personal motivation and impeccable communication skills.

As the Agency Transportation Officer, you will serve as the primary individual and point of contact for all agency transportation and vehicle needs. Your engagement with all levels of DOL staff will require transportation program development and management, policy and procedure execution, and ensuring DOL compliance for wider state agency requirements. In addition to serving and educating staff through the programs you support as the Agency Transportation Officer, you will also receive, reconcile, process, and track all Facility Services invoices. This role is largely independent and requires you to be self-motivated and engaged without direct supervision for your tasks.
Some of what you will be doing:
-
Develop policy, procedures, and processes for driving on agency business, privately owned vehicle use, and mandatory vehicle usage reporting by drivers and coordinators.
-
Monitor DES transportation policy and train division managers, transportation coordinators, and agency vehicle operators based on interpretation of state policy.
-
Obtain and analyze data from multiple sources for reporting and/or presentation to leadership.
-
Oversee the agency’s Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program and participate as a member on the statewide Commute Trip Reduction Interagency Board.

Actively seek improvement opportunities and strategies to transportation related program processes to ensure recommendations and guidelines are being followed.
What you will bring (Required):
-
High School Graduation or GED.
-
Four (4) years of progressive office experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work.
-
Experience must include the following:
-
Three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Suite office products including Excel, Word, Power Point, OneNote, and Outlook.
-
Two (2) years of the following:
-
Developing strategies and work goals, policy analysis, researching and evaluating policy impacts, coordination and consultation with multiple agencies or organizations.
-
Utilizing Excel to create, edit, and maintain complex spreadsheets.
-
Composing, formatting, proofreading, editing professional correspondence, emails, memos, letters and documents using plain talk principles including editing others writing.
-
Evaluating data, trends, and information to assess, analyze, and understand issues to make informed conclusions and recommendations or decisions.
-
Providing excellent customer service to building strong relationships for assisting internal or external customers using strong written and oral communication skills.
-
Creating and delivering training materials that meet the need of the audience and the organization's goals.
-
One (1) year of experience working independently and prioritizing tasks and deliverables with competing deadlines.

A valid driver's license.
What may help you stand out (Preferred):
-
One (1) year of the following experience:
-
Using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
-
Working with Microsoft Power BI to create data visualization, analytics, and reporting.
-
Managing a fleet of vehicles to include tracking usage/mileage, driver eligibility, fuel purchases, vehicle purchases, vehicle retirements, and vehicle maintenance.

Working knowledge of statewide Commute Trip Reduction program, ORCA, STAR Pass, state vehicle fleet operations, electric vehicles.
