Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Duties:
- Follow plan that is recommended by the OT based on assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities
- Develop personalized treatment plans to help patients improve their daily living skills
- Provide therapy sessions to patients to improve their motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Experience:
- Associates degree in Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Previous experience in speech therapy or case management is a plus
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
