This position will be overseeing a team of 20-35 employees with an assistant lead and team leads as direct reports. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, working closely with other supervisors and managers to ensure that all key safety, quality, and productivity targets are delivered consistently.
This position requires visible leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a combination of hands-on and fast-paced food manufacturing expertise.

Demonstrating the ability to support the operations staff.
Responsible for assigned area which includes production planning, scheduling and employee training.
Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
Responsible for ensuring proper product presentation and yield standards are met all times.
Coordination of staffing issues to ensure maximum productivity.
Reviewing all SSOP, HACCP and GMP standards and procedures to guarantee product wholesomeness.
Ability to build a solid team of employees while keeping team spirit and moral up with open communication.
Review all evaluations and hiring needs
Ability to work with all levels of management and the sales team to ensure the quality of our product.
Must be able to work in a multicultural plant.
Perform other task and projects as directed.
Education / Training
High school diploma or GED required
Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.
Related Experience/Requirements
A Minimum 3- 5 yrs experience in meat production or retail meat manager as Journeyman
Qualifications:
Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills.
Bilingual – (English/Spanish) preferred.
Demonstrate leadership experience with a high-functioning, fast-paced team
Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining a high-priority to the safety of our workforce
Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs. must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.
Work in a cold refrigerated environment
