Job description:
- Performing drop excavation with a provided directional drill - Universal 25 Drill with Digitrak F5 Locator
- Coordinating with utility locator to effectively pothole marked utilities that are identified from successful Utility providers - partners will be calling in all of locates prior to dispatch and in-house team will jet vac and pot hole all utilities prior to drilling.
- Install drop wire and/or conduit where applicable on all bores
- Obey all utility easements and requirements from various cities on depth, traffic control, signage requirements, and MDOT standards.
- Respond to Escalations and Emergencies with a Sense of Urgency.
- Travel may be required outside of the normal work area, however ample time and arrangements will be discussed prior.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the Directional Drill with regular maintenance and repairs that are discussed with the Head Office prior to performing said maintenance and repairs.
- Regularly verifying that all safety PPE and Work Area Protection are on hand and readily available for working safely.
- Properly verifying a job site and reviewing job scope with management to ensure a bore can be performed safely and correctly.
- Maintaining a stable vehicle to pull a trailer with the drill onboard.
Requirements:
- Pure commitment to the Safety of yourself and others
- Minimum 2-5 Years of Directional Drilling Experience (references required)
- Telecommunication or related field experience
- Valid Drivers License (CDL Preferred)
- Proof of work eligibility
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
