Local supermarket is looking for energetic, outgoing and engaging individual with strong leadership experience and a passion for exceptional customer service, to join our team as Store Manager.
The Store Manager position supervises, directs and manages all phases of store operations to obtain maximum sales and margins, control labor, utility and other operating expenses; and ensures that the store meets targeted projections and goals. Store Managers are responsible for meeting the standards of exceptional customer service by following company guidelines.
Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude towards all customers and employees.
- Observe and enforce all store and company policies, procedures, and practices, including but not limited to employment discrimination and harassment, non-violence, safety, conduct, inventory, cleanliness and customer service.
- Observe and enforce company grooming standards and dress regulations. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe all dress standards.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control all store activities and operations with the assistance of Department Mangers and other supervisory personnel.
- Act as the Company's representative both within the store and within the community.
- Control level of damaged and spoiled products and ensure proper disposition of same according to company policy.
- Make effective and objective decisions regarding operational choices in work procedures, inventory allocations, new product purchases, scheduling, and other situations where multiple factors must be considered and weighed to maximize operating results.
- Responsible for maintenance of prompt and accurate checkout service through the proper supervision of front-end accuracy.
- Responsible for all aspects of the store's operation including its financial results.
- Greet all customers and maintain excellent customer relations by providing prompt and courteous service or assistance. Accurately handle special orders or requests from customers.
- Must be friendly, helpful and service oriented.
- Comply will all work related directives and assignments from Corporate Office/District Manager.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proven knowledge and passion for the grocery business.
- Strong team leader committed to the organization's values, culture, and objectives.
- Able to achieve results through others.
- Able to think strategically and develop long-term plans.
- Must have analytical skills including the ability to identify improvements in store processes and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Education/Experience:
- High school education with some college background preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years' experience in the supermarket industry.
- At least 3 years' management or leadership experience.
Working Environment:
- This position involves travelingto store locations and/or neighbor islands for company meetings.
- Requires ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays to accommodate the business.
