Fastrip is a privately owned convenience store chain operating throughout California. It is distinguished from other retail businesses by its emphasis on location and convenience and a commitment to customers who need to purchase items quickly at extended hours.
Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
- Modeling great customer service by assisting the customer with their shopping needs while in our stores.
- Promoting growth of sales and control of expenses within the store.
- Oversee store operations by maintaining a well-stocked, clean store that is known for its customer service and sales team.
- Managing inventory, insuring all transactions are properly recorded on a timely basis to accurately account for inventory on hand.
- Insuring proper reporting to all Jaco Departments of events and transactions in the store, including such things as daily/weekly/monthly sales and inventory reports to Accounting, Gas sales and inventory reports, etc.
- Communicating with staff about store operational concerns such as promotional products, inventory concerns, safety and security advisories, other upcoming events/concerns.
- Managing staff to insure the efficient and accurate processing of sales transactions to promote customer service and sales within the store.
- Monitor and insure compliance of employees with established store policies and procedures regarding safety, security, sales, inventory, etc.
- Managing selection, performance, and employment status for all staff to build a strong sales team.
- Training and assessment of staff (including Store Clerks and Assistant Managers) in proper procedures in all facets of the operations.
- Promptly report any concerns to the Area Manager (or others, as appropriate) concerning customer concerns, store operations, inventory discrepancies, employee concerns, etc.
- Participating in Store Manager Meetings and other Operational Meetings as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
Must work a 5 1/2 day work week
Minimum of 3 years Retail, Fast Food or Grocery operation
Demonstrated management results in fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
Experience supervising 15+ employees.
Staffing and scheduling experience.
Strong computer, communications skills, and team leader
