**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in warehouse operations.
**Responsibilities:**
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and supplies
- Prepare items for shipment by verifying product information, packing slips, and delivery receipts
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and maintain accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Operate forklifts to load and unload shipments as needed
- Organize stock and maintain inventory levels
- Perform order picking and packing duties as required
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to coordinate shipments
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Proficiency with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS400 experience is a plus
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with MRP systems for inventory management
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations related to shipping and receiving tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capability to lift and move heavy items as needed
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and carriers.
