We serve the needs of a wide variety of customers – from commercial, residential, municipal and specialized service industries, to weekend do-it-yourselfers. Within the sales position you would be working directly with a broad array of customers (brides, planners/caterers, corporate, universities, home owners). This position is highly based on strong communication skills and the applicants ability to relay information to multiple departments.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist Outside Sales Team with data entry of rental contracts into software program (will be trained).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate by answering phones, providing information and assistance with handling phone orders.
- Takes phone or visitor messages and delivers to appropriate individual.
- Greets visitors to our office and showroom and directs them to the appropriate individual.
- Securing deposits and ensuring final payment on invoices.
- Develop strong relationships with clients to evaluate client needs to determine and suggested appropriate rental needs for their events
- Prepare event contracts and work orders using computer software.
- Calendar Management; schedule meetings, appointments, and site inspections for Sales Team.
- Makes copies, collates, and staples materials as requested.
- Establishes and maintains permanent files; files and retrieves files as requested.
- Learning about all products within our rental inventory and the ability to provide clients information about the rental items; such as operation or description.
- Recommend rental equipment to customers that best meets their need.
- Inventory sales merchandise and advises supervisor of low levels of merchandise.
- Maintain showroom displays monthly while considering seasonal color trends and styles.
- Network with other event and wedding industry professionals.
- Attend wedding expos and bridal shows as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in written or verbal form.
- Attend department, store, and safety meetings.
- Fill in for other positions, including warehouse operations, when necessary, for smooth operation of business
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
- Previous sales and customer relation skills are preferred.
- Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
- Computer knowledge and basic typing skills - training on rental software will be provided.
- Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly.
- Must pass company drug screen.
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
- Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience.
- Effective communication is the true key to success in this role.
