Mt. Bachelor Memory Care, a Brightwater community, is seeking a knowledgeable Maintenance Technician / Bus Driver with experience in customer service and/or senior living. The Maintenance Technician works alongside the Maintenance Manager and is equally responsible in assuring that the proper maintenance if performed at his/her facility. Including building exterior and interior, common areas, suites and grounds while tracking and completing preventative maintenance items per schedule. Weekend Days are needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence (with community management or other employees as necessary).

Assure maintenance and annual service of community exterior and interior and community assets.

Perform community maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscape, carpentry, painting, flooring, and general asset repairs, services and inspections.

Inspect community daily to promptly address maintenance concerns.

Perform all duties associated with preventative maintenance program.

Perform maintenance tasks for residents (e.g., moving furniture, hanging pictures, etc.) as assigned.

Assist housekeeping personnel in deep cleaning of common areas according to schedule.

Assure equipment is stored properly and safely, inspect for inadequacies.

Notify management of any damage, deficits, or disturbances in equipment.

Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace and restock as necessary.

Perform duties associated with community emergency and disaster response systems and procedures.
- Assist in planning and implementing schedule for community bus or other vehicles.

Drive community bus and other vehicles to and from required destinations safely and according to schedule.

Promptly report any concerns regarding safe and proper functioning of bus or other vehicles to Maintenance Manager.

Assure interiors of bus or other vehicles are neat and clean.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Must have minimum of two years’ verifiable direct maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.

Must have experience in the safe handling and use of tools normally used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping. These tools include circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, power floor cleaner, carpet cleaning machine, paint sprayer, power drain cleaner, chain saw, and key machine.

Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Maintain any certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
