Concrete Finisher I or Concrete Form Setter I
The Concrete Finisher I, under the direction of the Foreman, carries out assignments related to concrete placement, finishing, curing, and cutting, based on the proper selection of equipment, materials and finishing sequence needed to deliver the desired end product.
Expectations:

- Responsible for loading and unloading materials and supplies at shop and on the job site
- Assist in preparing the site for the placement of concrete
- Assist in properly laying out the site
- Build and place forms to proper elevation using a laser level with supervision
- Place and tie rebar in accordance with drawings and specifications with no supervision
- Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency
- Place, smooth, and level concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed without supervision
- Efficiently use hand tools required to finish concrete to the desired finish
- Place expansion joints, control joints, and edges with supervision
- Apply proper sealing and hardening component with supervision
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to 100 pounds
- * Load and unload materials and supplies at shop and on the job site in an organized design per Foreman request

- Assist in preparing the site for the placement of concrete
- Accurately measure, mark, and cut materials
- Accurately use a laser level to set grades / elevations with direct supervision
- Bend, place and tie rebar in accordance with drawings and specifications with supervision
- Assist setting up / laying out footings & foundations
- Assist with the installation of window and door blockouts, beam pockets, brick ledge, plates, bolts, and other anchors to formwork with supervision
- Load, layout, erect and remove concrete wall forms with direct supervision
- Verify and double check measurements and trueness of structure, using a string and level
- Remove forming materials and clean any splatter from adjacent areas
- Strictly abides by all company safety standards and policies
- Other duties assigned by Foreman
Skills & Qualifications Preferred:
- Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed
- Reliable transportation for travel to and from shop
- Willingness to work in inclimate weather conditions
- Ability to stand and kneel for long periods, lift heavy materials and work long hours
- Work rapidly and accurately with your hands
- Ability to read tape measure, speed squares, grade rods
- Ability to properly use power tools such as saws and drills
- Knowledge and experience with hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, power trowels, cutting saws, and edging tools
- Exceptional skills and understanding placing concrete using a cumalong or shovel without direction
- Exceptional skills and experience utilizing a screed board, bull float, fresno, groover, broom, and sliders without direction
- Ability to set form boards and straighten forms before and after the placement of concrete
- Ability to operate and cut straight lines with soft cut and walk behind saws
- Experience in concrete forming
- Experience in concrete Reinforcement
- Experience in concrete finishing
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
