Job Description
As an e-bike range tester, your role is to help us determine how far each e-bike will go before the battery dies in both max power assist mode, and minimum (eco) power assist mode. Doing range tests in both MAX and MIN assist levels provides a real-world range that consumers can expect to get if they purchase that specific e-bike.
A Good Range Tester Will:
- Love riding e-bikes! You will spend a lot of time in the saddle, on every kind of e-bike imaginable. From moto-style bikes like Super73, to beach cruisers, you will ride them all!
- Have experience riding bikes. E-bike experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Be reliable with their work schedule. Show up to work when you're supposed to, and be dependable in all you do.
- Focus and pay attention to the bike while riding. You need to do your best to put a consistent amount of effort into the range tests so the test results are accurate. Range tests are very important to our readers, and the data needs to be viable and accurate.
- Focus and pay attention to your surroundings while riding. You need to be respectful to other riders and pedestrians while riding.
- Be safe, and follow our safety guidelines at all times. This includes wearing a helmet, and only riding on pre-approved paths and roads.
- Be able to work in 2 to 4 hour time blocks. This schedule can be somewhat flexible, but you need to be able to ride for a minimum of 2 hrs each day you come in.
Where:
All range tests start and finish at our office located in St. George, Utah near the Zions Bank and Walmart off the Brigham Road exit.
What We Offer / Schedule / Pay
- Job Type: part-time (15-25 hrs), flexible hrs
- Starting pay rate: $15/hr
- Work days: Monday - Friday. Weekend work is not required but is possible after 6 months of experience for high performing range testers.
Note: This job can work great for a college student who needs to adjust their work schedule around their school schedule each semester as your class times change. However, you are still required to get your work hours in during normal working hours (9:00 pm - 5:00 pm) and be consistent with following your set schedule.
