Purchasing/Administrative Assistant
This position involves working with management, sales, and plant personnel on timely responses to ensure the effectiveness of order and plant production.
You need to be organized, observant, appreciate teamwork and customer service, knowledge of Excel is required.
Daily updates with progress on various projects and seeing the finished products as they develop.
DUTIES
- Reviews purchase orders for completeness
- Places orders to vendors, checks status of orders, resolves order problems, and reviews and expedites receiving reports
- Handling Customer orders and processing for plant
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- understand customer demand, including price, quality and availability
- recommend sources for new products and new vendors
- participate in vendor negotiations;
- maintain flow of office computer (input purchase orders, maintenance, spreadsheets), daily communications (solid knowledge of Excel mandatory);
- manage plans for stock levels
- react to changes in demand and logistics
- Assist in maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products
- liaise with others within the organization to ensure completion of projects
- listens carefully and has the ability to perform as a team member
- demonstrates the organizational ability to facilitate multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provides quick response to alleviate production shortages

Skills:
- Typing: 50 wpm
- Ability to effectively make decisions under tight deadlines
- Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
- Aptitude in decision-making, negotiations and working with numbers
- Organizational and administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to work with all levels of employees, customers, and management
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, administrative and communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in an office environment
- A professional appearance and telephone manner are essential
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with duties above
- Experience with Microsoft Office is required
- Knowledge of QuickBooks (preferred)

Pay: $35,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
