We are hiring a Food Safety & Quality Supervisor – 1st shift located in Beaumont, CA. This position assures that all Bibigo and Annie Chun’s products produced at this location are safe, wholesome, and that they meet company standards for quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:
Daily QC Operations
- Review previous day’s production paperwork and prepare product testing evaluation
- Verify CCP’s and ensure pre-shipment reviews are conducted thoroughly prior to each product release
- Log production data into daily shipment, receiving ingredients, and lot numbers for traceability spreadsheets
- Walkthrough facility for Production Patrol Report; includes plant sanitation report, CCP verification, metal detector testing, and GMP inspection
- Improve issues found and verify if corrective actions are completed; act as a liaison between production & QC team
- Prepare and verify boxing labels
- Act as a liaison with USDA, EIAO, or government agencies – effectively communicating USDA non-compliance concerns, responding to NR’s (formulate corrective actions plans or preventive action plans)
- Lead Big 8 allergen verification, maintain SOP and SSOP documents, and update HACCP and CCP verification effectiveness in preparation of IIC audit
- Investigate and create root cause analysis with customer complaints based on: Foreign Materials, Product Mix-Up, Mislabeling, and Product Quality
- Train QC personnel as well as incoming new hires in GMP and other Food Safety related matters
- Write SOPs and SSOPs as needed
- Prepare training materials and train employees at the monthly Food Safety and GMP training
- Manage QC Technicians. Approve timecards, work schedule, time off requests, etc.
- Supports new projects, new product development or investigation activities related to food safety and quality.
Audit Support
- SQF Audit – lead the plant preparation in HACCP, Prerequisite programs, Employee training, Sanitation and Pest Control issues
- Monthly Facility Audit – follow up on measures taken on QC issues, corrective actions, and preventative action
- Assist in preparation of SOPs, SSOPs and Master Cleaning Schedule tasks
- Ensure corrective actions on non-compliance findings are completed in a timely manner and preventive actions properly maintained
- Organic Audit – ensure plant is in compliance with organic labeling requirements
- Assist with Traceability exercises
Other
- Maintain sanitary conditions in the laboratory and production area by:
- Managing lab supplies and pest control issues
- Replenishing sanitation chemicals
- Processing invoices related to Quality and Sanitation
- Provide support during vacancy in QC shifts to ensure production schedule is met
· Serve as back-up to QA manager in their absence.
Qualifications
· BS Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or science-based program preferred
· Minimum 5 years of experience in food quality fields/audited food manufacturing sites/HACCP certified (USDA facility QA or QC experience preferred)
· PCQI Certificate is a plus
· Experience in Asian Foods or trained in SQF/BRC is a plus
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Language: English and Bilingual (English, Spanish or English, Korean) is a plus

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
