This role will encompass qualified candidates to have a strong grasp of Networking, Server, Cloud (Azure), Security, Storage, Disaster Recovery, and Backup Solutions for the enterprise. Candidates must be local to the Dallas market, and willing/able to work onsite. Candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Overview:
The Microsoft-Stack Azure Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for working independently at times, and within a team setting to oversee and mitigate cybersecurity threats across the organization. This individual will be responsible for being involved in the design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity systems (Microsoft-based)) and processes to include identity and access management (IAM), multifactor authentication (MFA) and authorization, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Single Sign-on (SSO), SAML, Oauth, access control management, etc. You will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams that will be involved in merger and acquisition (M&A) activities, IT due diligence efforts, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information/Cybersecurity, or related field from four-year college or university; or at least 5 (+) years related experience and relevant technical certifications.

5+ years’ experience in Cybersecurity / Information Security supporting enterprise environments composed of contemporary IT infrastructure—hybrid—on prem/cloud architecture

Skilled in establishing, evaluating, and resolving identity and access management (IAM) issues, policies, procedures and best practices using Microsoft Azure Active Director / Entra ID, LDAP, etc.
- Administering user accounts, establishing security permissions, and role-base access controls (RBAC) for internal users, applications, and devices

Skilled in Privileged identity Management (PIM) to mitigate risks of excessive, unnecessary, or misused access
- Configuring, assessing, and managing multifactor authentication (MFA) and authorization protocols (SSO, Oauth, SAML, & OpenID Connect)

Responding to and managing incidents and infosec investigations using Microsoft tools (Defender & Sentinel)

A strong foundation of Information Technology components to include Networking, Server, Virtualization, Cloud (Azure), Security, Storage, Disaster Recovery, and Backup Solutions

The ability to work with end users to troubleshoot issues that involve cross-functional team collaboration while providing excellent customer service and support
