SUMMARY:
The Risk Management Analyst will support the technical side of the organization's holistic risk management approach. Compile and evaluate risk data and share findings and insights with managers along with possible solutions. Develop plans to minimize and mitigate negative financial outcomes through a combination of project management and proposal development.
DUTIES:
- Coordinate the gathering of policy underwriting data and prepare comprehensive underwriting submissions for insurance renewals and new placements.
- Identify and interpret relevant insurance policy terms, conditions, and exclusions to assist with contract review and risk assessment.
- Maintain and monitor the organization's surety bond portfolio, including tracking expiration dates, premiums, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Report and manage auto liability and workers' compensation claims, serving as the primary point of contact with insurance providers.
- Issue certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and other risk management documentation as needed.
- Process premium invoices, track payments, and reconcile accounts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in an insurance or risk management role, preferably within a commercial or corporate setting.
- Strong understanding of various insurance coverages, including general liability, property, auto, workers' compensation, and surety bonds.
- Proficiency in reviewing, interpreting, and applying insurance policy language.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to coordinate underwriting submissions and maintain detailed records.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve risk management strategies.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets, formulas, and data visualizations.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and insurance providers.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, business, or a related field
