Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the Immunization Compliance LVN will administer vaccines, ensure proper storage and handling, and collect data for surveillance of vaccine-preventable diseases in adherence to the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC), Adult Safety Net (ASN) provider manual, and COVID-19 Provider Policy. Individuals in this role will be responsible for collaborating with local health agencies, private physicians, community groups, and jurisdictional Public Health Clinics to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the TVFC and ASN Programs and conduct provider quality assurance training, perform scheduled and unannounced site visits, following CDC and DSHS protocols.
The Immunization Compliance LVN is expected to perform tasks independently with a high degree of critical thinking, independent judgment, and problem-solving.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Vaccine Administration and Surveillance: Administers vaccines, manages storage and handling, and collects surveillance data for vaccine-preventable diseases.

Quality Assurance Training and Site Visits: Conducts provider Quality Assurance training, including scheduling and conducting both follow-up and unannounced site visits as per TVFC/ASN and COVID-19 Provider Policy.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensures adherence to the TVFC/ASN provider manual and COVID-19 Provider Policy through regular assessments and compliance checks.

Documentation and Reporting: Accurately completes documentation and data entry in PEAR and IQIP, and ensures all corrective actions and IQIP goals are thoroughly documented.

Provider Engagement: Conducts in-services and orientations for providers and collaborates with TVFC Private Providers and TMF Quality Healthcare Institute.

Communication and Team Coordination: Communicates effectively with the Immunization Coordinator and team members, addressing and resolving issues, and ensuring seamless team collaboration.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:
Must be licensed or eligible to practice as a Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas.
CPR certification required.
License and CPR certification must be maintained and current for continued employment.
